Latest news October 2012

After a dynamic Regional Conference held last month, thanks to Donna Nicolls and her team, the Crisis Centre continues in its work and activities.

On 28th September, an event was held at Doongalik on Village Road to recognize the Day to End  Sexual Violence.

Next month we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary and a newspaper supplement will  be issued with the Nassau Guardian on a date to be announced. Watch this space!

The monthly meeting will be held tomorrow at 10am at the J Whitney Pinder Building on Collins Avenue and simultaneously, training will be held for new volunteers.

As a continuing activity for the Green Ribbon Campaign, the Centre is holding a competition for Primary and High Schools.

The website for the conference, www.bahamaspeaceconference2012.org will be updated as information on presentations etc becomes available.

Once again, we thank all volunteers who continue to give their service to the Centre, particularly those who man the Hotline after working hours and at weekends and holidays.
